First I like to state that I think the Victron Team has done and still do an amazing job on the VRM platform - I doubt that any competitor is even close.
But there is always room for improvements - Here is my contribution on the very nice data display filter functionality. You are on track with the Past, (Present), Future thinking.
I suggest the sorting of the Quick ranges to be on "Time" rather than Name
