Victron VRM Widget on Apple iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.7 not available?

Hello,
my friend has the nice VRM Widget on his newer iPhone.
I tried to add this widget to my Homescreen on my iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.7, but I didn't find the widget on the widget screen. I think Apple changed the handling of widgets in later iOS Versions.
So I don't know, whether I can use the VRM widget on my iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.7. The VRM App is working fine.
Any ideas?

You will need a new phone. App support does not go that far back, and there have been too many structural changes in IOS that the app requires. Same issue with old versions of Android.
