24v Agm battery bank voltage made from 12v batteries,

Hi all, sorry for all the questions recently.

My dads 24v battery bank is made up of 4 12v agm batteries, they're series parallel linked.

They're charged from 400w of solar panels through a victron mppt 100/20.

I've just checked the voltage of each agm battery while near float voltage of 27v, all the batteries are around 13.50v but one is showing at 15.20v. I'm not sure how this is possible?

Would this be an internal battery failure or am I missing something.

I've tested this on 2 multi meters, but the readings are the same.

I've seen batteries fall from failure but never increase their voltages. Many thanks yet again.

Hi Simon,

The internal resistance on that battery seems to be out of balance with the rest. I assume they are all the same age, best would be to install a battery balancer from Victron, it will make sure all batteries charge to the same level.
