Hi, I have a 24v 5000/120 multiplus and wondering if I can use my Honda EU30is with auto start to charge my batteries, determined by battery voltage or state of charge. I realise my honda generator will only supply 2800KVA so the charger component of my victron multiplus will not charge full capacity. I guess i need to know if I can limit the current draw from my Honda genset?whilst not limiting the 5000KVA on the inverter side@victronenergy
You have to set limit for AC In Current and/or reduce max charging current in Charger settings of MP
A GX box can handle both the start and limit functions. Every self-respecting Victron user should have one. :)

The ac input limit will be available in the Multi section of the GX gui, and is in ac-amps. There is a lower limit. but your Honda should fit well within that.
