Cyrix-CT in DC/DC charger input

Hello !

I bought a cyrix CT to protect my starter battery, but I think it might not work as I wanted.

So, my idea was to put it between my battery and the input of my DC/DC charger (not victron, not protected against low voltage). So obviously, after reading a little more carefully the documentation, it will not work directly like that, as the 30 pin (to the DC charger) will be at 0V.

However, I wonder if it will work if I use the start assist and start my DC charger right after it. The input/output should be at equal voltage, and when the alternator is off, both voltage will drop below 12.8 and the cyrix will open.

Am I correct?

Thank you !
