Multiplus in parallel not according to White Paper

My two Multiplus 24/3000-70/50 do not act like the White Paper "Achieving the Impossible" at all.

Here you can see my setup in action. Please notice the low low on ACin (30a single phase) and the high demand, but low SOC of my battery bank (400aH Lithium).

Please note my settings and data below.

According to the white paper, I should have ~10A AC available and charging the batteries at this point....but they just keep getting discharged.

Now, I switched the major load (A/C) off. Here is the system reaction:

I don't see why my system does this each day. I need to monitor this several times a day so as to not completely discharge my bank. It seems like a lot of cycling for nothing. Is this operating according to design? The White Paper seems to suggest otherwise.

Since this is not what you are looking for, some program modifications need to be done. If you have ESS loaded then under the ESS setting on the GX device you are using you can set how far you want your battery to be drained or not drained at all.

What is your desired behaviour?

Many configurations are possible, from grid only charging batteries as a last resort to maintain minimum viable voltage, all the way to grid keeping batteries at 100% for use in the event of a blackout, and everything in between.

The desired behaviour needs to be programmed into the system, and it is best to seek the consult of a local Victron specialist to do this safely and efficiently.
