i just purchased a victron phoenix 12/750 inverter that has a remote port on the rear, can i switch the inverter on and off from this port and if so what do i need to connect to that port to be able to carry out this .thank you

I am not sure if there are many versions of the Phoenix 12/750 but below is one. Check section 3.2 on page 6:
