GX will not detect ET112 energy meter with ZigBee working end to end with meeting soft
with usb ZigBee set up and rs485 too and paired and usb ZigBee plug in to the pc and Carlo Gavazzi running you can cornet to the meter and read and write from and too ET112 but if i relocate the usb ZigBee to the GX and re pair the two ZigBee will not detect ET112 energy mete have tried re boot but still no ET112 energy meter in device list

and up date maybe is to faraway point to point but with usb ZigBee plug in to the pc and Carlo Gavazzi ucs -7 running on lap top bingo comms to the ET112 so Victron your in put is needed as I'm at a loss as next step do i need to load usb driver ? (3 total usb) running Venos V3.01
yes have tried answer for other post on this problem but with no resolve to it

I had terrible trouble getting a ET112 to communicate with my Cebro GX as well (minus the Zigbee I only have the USB to ETT112 adapter and a physical cable between the ET112 and Cebro GX).
In my case it was a setting within the ET112 bios itself I need to change that sets up the cable protocol the ET112 communicates on.
Duncan's ET112 issue My answer came via a post on this site. so here is the link to my post where the issue was discussed.
Since making this small bios change, my ET112 now works as expected.

how did you make bios change as ET112 config soft ware only lest you change address and board rate - and bits stop ?

Download the MProg SW by FTDI software. Then connect to the ET112 directly to your PC via the USB adapter cable, rather than the zigbee or Cebro GX.
The Mprog software should then see the ET112 as a USB device on one of your PC's com ports, and allow you to read and write to the ET112's bios. Only make the change as described by radmin-1 in the post I linked, where he outlines the cable protocol description section. Once that is done disconnect the ET112 from your PC and reconnect to the Cebro GX. In my case the ET112 showed up as a List device straight away.

that FT232R USB UART is programmed in so have maid no changes be interesting too see how the ones that work using ZigBee are programmed ?

find my Waveshare usb to rs485 converter long length 2 core screened cable lets give it go so wire up plug in Bing go Et112 in device list and working ! Not fixed but more proof that a driver bug in soft ware or !
Now unplug Waveshare usb to rs485 converter Et112 in device list but not working and with the usb Zigbee plugged in and Zigbee rs485 wired to the et112 end a lot tx and rx between ZigBee's but still not to GX
and to just make shore plugged usb Zigbee plugged in to my PC and yes wireless comms to ET112 with Carlo Gavazzi ucs so back to you
Have you tried bypassing the Zigbee and running a long Lan cable or any 3 wires, from the ET112 to the USB converter and plugging directly into the Cerbo GX?
I do not use the Zigbee So I can not advise on what variables that adds?
Also you have been doing some Bios changes via the SSH directly, did you download the software I mention and confirm that the cable description has been updated?

yes as post about with Waveshare usb to rs485 converter and no Bios changes work plug and play
just go to have run a long cat5 screen with twisted pairs from meter to out building when Zigbee will du it hart beat if only sort out soft ware in the CX as it funds Waveshare usb to rs485 not even on Victron list and run with it but Zigbee usb on Victron list will not work !
thanks for your help just need Victron sort it out, customer shroud not be the ones sorting out problem with soft ware
