3x100W panels in series. 2 in shadow on a hot day. What can I expect?

I receive a mere 4W in bulk mode. Angle is not perfect so I was expecting at least some 40W. Souldn't the two diodes in each panel give way to the one panel fully in the sun?

It is always recommended to connect panels in parallel when there is shading. Search online and you will find a wealth of info, as there are also some risk of damage to take into account. As for concrete numbers, there is just way to little info, but if you have a good MPPT charge controller, it can go some way to optimise what is there.

Does that still apply for panels with bypass diodes?

Tried in the morning. Covered two panels and still got 60W from the remaining panel. Now again I think it is related to either panel or controller temperature
