Venus displays 0 records stored even when internet is disconnected?

Ever since I plugged in external storage into my Venus, it has been showing 0 stored records, even if I eject it. I assumed perhaps it only logs when VRM is unavailable. Well, I've had a lost connection overnight and it still shows 0 records. I could not find any information in manual or online about what it does with this stored information. Any clarification available?

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

The GX device will store those records that accumulate until its memory is full, or it can push them to the internet and clear it.

0 records is normal, as long as you can see the data in VRM.
