Multiplus 12/1600/70 question

Hi All,

First time user of this great forum!

A bit of a novice question so go easy on me.

I live on a boat and am wondering if its better to have the inverter set to charge only or switched to on for day-to-day living.

I understand that when you are not aboard having it in charge only makes sense BUT when switched to the 'On' position does that still charge the batteries as well as providing AC to appliances?

We don't have a crazy about of electrical items that we use, thermostat on overn, charging laptops etc.

Cheers

When switched to the "on" position the inverter charger will just "do it's thing" automatically. When shore power is available it will pass thru as well as power assist, and keep the batteries charged. This is usually the desired switch position while living onboard.
