Tanksensor info on Victron html5 on Axiom

HI,

I have installed an Victron Cerbo with an Raymarine Axiom. I have all the info from the Cerbo on my Axiom which looks great. As all is installed on my boat I also would like to see the tank information on my Axiom. I read all the info about nmea2000 PGN's etc etc etc and tried everything to accomplish this. Before I continue I would like to know if it is possible otherwise I send time on something that is not possible. Any feedback open this is welcome.

I also am looking for an picture of the html5 app on an Axiom with tank levels if there is any

I'm in the process of doing this as well, I should have it all operational now, I just haven't had a chance to do the final testing on the Axiom's since I've deployed/configured the tank sensors.


One thing I will say is that having a NMEA network gateway has been extremely useful for troubleshooting. It sits on the NMEA network and reads (and can send) data via normal LAN Ethernet, which can then be read by other systems (like Navionics on iOS). But it also has the benefit of being able to interrogate the NMEA network and check the raw data streams etc, which was extremely useful when setting things up.

I made my own NMEA > VE.CAN cable, so it was very useful in testing that worked correctly.

There are a number of devices out there, I use the ActiSense W2K gateway and it's GUI is excellent.

Nowadays you can also follow yhe nmea2000 traffic on the Axiom itself

Hi Marcel,

There are two ways to get tank sender data.

Option 1. By making the GX send them over NMEA2000-out.

For that make sure to update the GX to latest release. There have been some related bugfixes recently if I remember correctly. Latest fw release for al GXes is v3.00.

Next, in Settings, Services, VE.Can, enable NMEA2000-out.

Next, make sure you have a VE.Can to NMEA2000 out wire between your GX and your N2K network.

If with that it still doesn’t work, I’d start with making sure that the N2K connection works: check on the Axiom what devices are visible, and if it includes and from the Victron side.

And the other way around.


Option 2. With the html5 app.

But the current official version of that doesn’t show tank levels yet. We’ve recently made a beta version that adds it.

Connection between GX and Axiom for this is ethernet.

I have bought the correct cable nmea2000 to ve.can rj45 but mine cerbo gx is full, one used for my generator (fisher panda) and one for my bms (MG Master) so how do i connect the ve.can rj45 now ?
