Victron BMV or Shunt with Victron Battery Balancer

Hi guys just got a question regarding running 3 battery balancers on a 48v bank, if it runs on the inside loop of the shunt and the shunt isn't able to record the draw from the batteries how out of wack will the shunt sync get?

You are talking about a max 3A of possible 'loss' due to balancing. It will be more like an inefficiency.

It will likely be under your tail current setting, so won't be noticed in terms of sync. It will be almost like a self contained 48V battery bank does uses slightly more energy than what came out to recharge. A shunt would not read or care about what is going on inside the battery.

Are they lead acid or lithium?

The shunt will sync to 100% every time it registers battery charged. This is based on charged voltage, tail current and time.

You need to be close to charged voltage before the balancers kick in.

Very unlikely you will be able to detect the balancer, and even more unlikely that the shunt will get out of sync if correctly configured.
