Victron 160AH Battery Condition

Greetings from Southern California !!

I have an opportunity to purchase two (not new) Victron 160AH batteries from a defunct van conversion company.

Might anyone have any advice about exploring the condition of these batteries ??

Seller says that they charge up and hold a charge - but no information beyond that.

What’s appropriate pricing to mitigate the risk ??

Thanks in advance,

Steve W

@stevew Connect to the batteries with bluetooth to check the status of the battery and the individual cell voltages.

If any cell is under 2.5v that cell is damaged.

If any cell is under 2v consider the battery unusable.

If you cant connect with bluetooth the battery is under 8v (dead) or an extremely old model without bluetooth.

Cell voltages should be within 10 - 20 mV of each other. More than .1v difference could indicate a damaged battery (recovered from an undervolt condition).

Read the manual.
