powerassist questions and am i crazy?

so still very much a novice here [and note i'm using these items for USA so either 120VAC 60hz or 230-240VAC 60 hz] but i want to make sure i understand how powerassist works. both the MultiPlus-II 3kVA 120V and easysolar-II GX [230VAC] 48/3000/35-32 manuals say "the Multi can add up to its rated power (e.g 3000 / 230 = 13A) to the output during periods of peak power requirement. Together with a maximum input current of 32A this means that the output can supply up to 32 + 13 = 45 A" even the easysolar says 'multi' i guess they just copy/paste.

since it does not have an explicit example for the MultiPlus-II 3kVA 120V we might assume it would be 3000/120 = 25A? however, skipping the possible 3000VA and only using the rated 2400W would it be feasible to output 2400W of 120VAC from the MultiPlus-II 3kVA 120V into a step up transformer to 230VAC and put the output transformer into the easysolar-II GX 48/3000/35-32 so that, ignoring losses, the easysolar can have an out put of 4800W [2400 from mutli and 2400 from easysolar]?

furthermore, if the MultiPlus-II 3kVA 120V is plugged into a 15A 120VAC grid outlet [eg shore power] then the multi could deliver, again ignoring losses, 4200 watts through the transformer to the easysolar? and then the easysolar could output 6600 watts?

back to kVA vs kW how close can either the multi or easysolar's 3000VA get to 3000W? and for how long? i ask because it is my hope to power a 7.2kW charger for my EV. granted the charger is rated at 240VAC so running it at 230VAC would lower it to 6.9kW. from above just using the rated watt power the combo of 15A 120VAC shore power + multi 3KVA and easysolar 3kVA can put out 6.6Kw [1800+2400+2400], how close to and under what conditions could i get to the theoretical maximum of 7.8kW [1800+3000+3000]?

assuming all of the above is fine, anyone have any experiences with step up transformers? if i want to transform 4200 watts at 120VAC to 230/240VAC would a 5000 watt unit be enough and what kind of efficiencies should be expecting/looking for?
