splitting vrm file

Hi, How can I split VRM file to fit the 64MB upload limit?

You don't, you zip it and upload the zip.

It will take a while for the data to appear, but it does.

the zip file is 150MB, so upload will not work due to 64MB limit.

You must have many years of data then or alot of components?

I use z zip.

Try increse the compression. I can upload six months of data ona complex system and get it under he 64mb limit.

Hi,

The ZIP file is 150MB in size. The VRM file close to 3GB. How can I upload this file?

Try it and see what happens.

It will certainly it will take a while to upack and go live, since there is alot of info there.

The limit is 64MB, Victron does not allow to upload files larger than that.

Hi @Nam_Erik,

I have just asked the VRM team what can be done.

While you wait if you want that data, it is possible to access it via the VictronConnect conversation feature which will give you an XLSX file on a desktop computer - but that is only for excel, not VRM, so may not suit your purposes.

Accepting larger files will require a change in how they are processed, so it will not be an overnight fix.


I don’t have a time frame yet, but it has been added to their dev list.


I will post an update when it is ready.

There is some testing underway to see if the size can be increased.

If it can, it may be a quick fix.

If there are issues, it will require longer.
