What happened if the solar PV cables are connected to the MPPT the wrong way?

I just want to know what happens if the PV DC cables (from the solar panels) are connected the wrong way around on the MPPT trackers and the power was turned on to the MPPT from the rocker switch.

More specifically will this cause damage to the MPPT?

Hi !
This is what the manual says:

MPPT PV inputs are protected against reverse polarity, to a maximum short circuit current of 20 A for each tracker.

BEWARE that the product warranty will be void if a PV array with a short circuit current larger than 20 A array is connected in reverse polarity.

If your battery polarity is correct and you have not exceeded the 18 to 20A short circuit input, you will be ok.

Just dont make a habit of it, the mppt will self sacrifice to protect the batteries.
