Cross-section of the internal PE connection between AC-In, AC-Out1 and AC-Out2

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what cross section the PE connections from the AC-in, AC-out1 and AC-out2 are connected to internally in the unit?
I want to connect the Multiplus 2 with a 5x10mm² cable. Wire 1+2 for AC-in and wire 3+4 for AC-out1. PE is then only connected to AC-in.
In my opinion, this should also be perfectly sufficient, right?
In addition, the Multiplus 2 is grounded via the separate PE screw.

This should be the same for the 3000 and 5000. I have a MP2 5000.

The datasheet says that the maximum cross section for the 230V connection is 13qmm (6 AWG).

Can I assume that in the device all PE connections are connected with min. 13qmm (6 AWG)?

i have similar thoughts for a 3phase Multiplus II 5000 ESS installation:

just hop from one multi to the next, as PE is internally connected anyhow.

This is not possible for the N cables, that is clear. But for PE, this should be fine, isn´t it?

Use the same crosssection for PE as for L1, L2, L3 and N. And to answer which crossection should be used for L1-3 & N depends on which Multiplus-II you are using.

Multiplus-II 48/5000/70 for example, is rated at 50A - and then 10mm2 is fine (assuming you are not running those cables in closed environment like inside a wall)

Your drawing @Pedaaa is a bit misleading I think - the PE is not wired in series ("through" the middle-inverter), but in parallel. There is a seperate connection for PE.

but all PE´s and ground stud are internally connected anyhow. So why not just passthru, as on my picture?

I am using 16mm² PE cable. If internal passthru has similar crosssection, i don´t see an issue with it?!

or just still not allowed?

There is simply no connection for "PE-in" and "PE-out" so it is physical not possible to wire it as in your drawing.

all those 3x PE are internally connected, as well as with the ground stud
