Modifications / Hacks to Victron Energy Monitor ET112

Arrgghh! I just learned that the ET112 I purchased from Lichtex in Germany supports 240VAC power only with a "no return" policy. I purchased it for 120VAC shore power monitoring for USA sailboat. Are there any hacks to fix this? My assumption is that in its most basic form, it is a current measuring coil. Could I make two wraps of of the wire around the coil to trick it to measure twice the actual amps? P=V*I so it would see P= 120V *2I vs P=240*I. Any advice would be helpful.
