VE.Direct to USB interface cable, is it isolated?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

But I am unable to find any clue in the linked document. Maybe my understanding issue. Can you be more specific on this?

Thank you

A digital isolator is used at the VE.Direct end of the dongle. Something like a Si8422 IRRC.

Sorry, I should have explained that more clearly. The important sentence is in the Introduction of the linked document:

To connect directly to such port, we advise to use either our VE.Direct to USB interface, or our VE.Direct to RS232 interface. Both include galvanic isolation circuitry. Having such isolation is important, as in the product itself (ie. in the solar charger, bmv battery monitor, inverter and so forth) there is very little protection.
