Venus OS on Raspberry Pi with Modbus-hat

Any suggestions how to configure a Raspberri Pi Modbus hat? I’m using a https://www.hwhardsoft.de/english/projects/rs485-shield/.

The problem is that I do not get even started, since the Venus OS lacks raspi-config which is used to ”to switch the UART to the GPIO14/15 pins, as per the instructions https://sae5d500d7e085f42.jimcontent.com/download/version/1662369499/module/11252626197/name/Application%20Note%20ModBus%20Rev%20B.pdf

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How do you people connect a Raspberry Pi with Venus OS to Victron Energy meters, e.g. the ET430, which I am trying connect. If a hat is no-go, would a USB coverter work? If Yes, which?
