Orion Tr Smart 12|12 30 charging time for 100ah Battle Born

I just added a Orion Tr Smart 12|12 30 to my system and am wondering what the expected charge time would be to change one 100ah Battle Born lithium battery. I’m asking here because on initial startup my BMV-712 showed the battery going from 60% remaining to 100% after only about 20 minutes of engine run time. I’m using the default settings for Lithium on the Orion. Did the Orion really charge that fast or did the 712 get tricked somehow?

Thanks for your thoughts and experience regarding this!

BMV will determine SOC based on the settings. What are the Orion and BMV settings?

Here’s screen shots of the settings I have currently for the Orion 12|12 30 and the BMV-712. I’ve been using the settings as shown here for a year with a Progressive Dynamics 120v Converter/Charger (9160L) and they seemed to work well. If the BMV settings need to be different than this to support the Orion, then hopefully there’s numbers that will work with both the Orion and the PD9160L.

30A would charge 30Ah in 1h. As this chargers barely stay at 30A and you may have running loads while charging, it may take longer. At 60% SOC it means 40Ah to be charged, it would take roughly 1h 20min to 1.5h to recharge with the orion alone.

Thanks, that confirms the timing that I was expecting. Seems like my BMV-712 got tricked somehow.
