Why does Multiplus show different voltage than BMV-712?

Multiplus 12/3000/120 is showing 13.95 Volts and is in Float and has stopped charging the batteries allowing a drop to 93% on the BMV-712 overnight.


BMV712 is showing 13.35 Volts and 93%


Multimeter check at batteries matches BMV-712 at 13.35%


Mulitplus has V Sense wire connected to battery positive terminal.


Batteries: 5 - SOK 205Ah Lithium for a total of 1030Ah


Anyone know why are the Multiplus and BMV out of sync and how to fix?

Why did you only connect the V Sense wire to the positive terminal? What happened to the negative terminal?

wkirby, any ideas on why this is happening. Both neg and pos v sense wire are in place.

Yes. Both positive and negative are connected.

Hi @KenAmorosano. Were you able to resolve the issue? I am facing the same but in my case, it is a Quattro instead of a Multiplus.

The inverter will read it's own terminals, it needs to do that for monitoring for things like DC ripple.


For charging if there is a BMV, GX and DVCC it should use the voltage there for the battery status and needs.

The ve bus SOC will synchronise the BMV SOC.
