Setting 'Charged Voltage' on the smart shunt

Should the 'charged voltage' as set up on the Smart Shunt be the same value as the float voltage of the system?

Hi @roachmon - in case you have not already sorted this out yourself, I think the accepted setting is 0.1 or 0.2 volts below the float voltage for your setup - whatever that may be

If it's set that low, there will be a false 100% synch. Close to absorption voltage might be better.

  • Yes I think @Gravely Headstone meant to say 0.1 or 0.2 volts below the absorption voltage. That way when the batteries are in absorption charging phase, when the voltage is rising as current is tapering, when the voltage is reached and current is low enough the Smartshunt deems the batteries to be 100%.
