Error code 67

We are getting an error code 67 "BMS lost" on one of our systems. This particular system operates in offgrid status for most of the time, the owner connects to the grid when the weather restricts battery charging during the day.

The error code appears when the battery is fully charged (around midday) and the loading in the house is very low.


System:

Multiplus II 5kVA GX

Smartsolar 250/85

1x freedom won etower 5 battery

6x 540W panels


We have configured the system using ESS, is this the correct method or should we be setting it up using another assistant? Read somewhwere in the Victron documentation that you shouldnt use ESS for offgrid installs, however this system does get connected to the grid especially during winter months.

It is possible the bms is disconnecting or switching off at the higher charge levels. Try a lower charge voltage.

It is possible. All the charge voltage and current values are as per the victron-freedom won installation procedure, and the same as numerous other installs we have done.

The only difference on this install is the predominantly offgrid status it operates in.
