Multiplus 12/3000 (2018) Should I update firmware to be readable by updated CCGX ?

Hello,

I have a remote cabin in France with 2000 Wp solar, 2 MPPT Victron, Multiplus 3000/12 and CCGX. I can see the 2 MPPT (old 2015) through the updated CCGX via VE.Can but not the unupdated Multiplus connected via VE.bus.

I just updated my CCGX to last firmware to install GX Tank.

But I cannot see the Multiplus 12/3000 on the CCGX, it shows "off".

I changed the network cable and tested it.

Question : is it mandatory to update the firmware of the multiplus to latest version to can get read by the updated CCGX ?

I got also an Victron MK2 interface to do that.

Should I do it ?

What do you think ?
