Orion tr smart 30 use with higher voltage on output.

Hi all

I have a set of batteries that I kept isolated from each other with diodes on the output and fet on the charging line.

But the voltage drop is causing me problems.

I have bought an Orion to increase the output to 12.8volts but wonder if the charger will cause problems.

The Orion will be set to produce 12.8v but the separate charger, when on shore power and when the engine is running, will provide 13.8 volts that the Orion will see on its output. Obviously the batteries will also see that voltage, but I cannot really stop it being on the output of the Orion due to the way things are set up.

Ideally I would like to turn it off when voltage rises but I think the charge setup on the Orion actually does the reverse?

Anyway, any advice extra info etc available?

Will this cause me problems, and can I get round them?
