What type of relay for GlobalLink digital inputs

screen-shot-2022-03-12-at-44048-pm.pngI plan to connect my GlobalLink 520 to my bilge pump for monitoring using a relay. I am wondering what is the most appropriate relay to use. I am leaning in the direction of using an automotive 12v relay which is energized when the bilge pump is on and grounds one of the two GlobalLink 520 inputs when it is on. Is this the appropriate hardware?

As the voltage as well as the current flow are super low I'd recommend to use a relay with gold-plated contacts.
