Victron SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT with Lynx Distributor - Fusing/Wire Size

Hello,

I purchased a Lynx Distributor, SmartSolar 75/15 Solar Charge Controller, and a 175W Solar Panel.

Solar Panel to Charge Controller:

*25A Breaker and 10AWG wires

Charge Controller to LYNX:

*40A?? Fuse and 6AWG

I am trying to determine if I can use a 40A mega fuse (smallest that will work in the Lynx) between the controller and the LYNX...

I know that the wire size (6AWG) and length (<4ft) is fine for 40A, but I want to know if there is any other issues/risks with using a 40A fuse instead of a smaller one? Risks to the charge controller?

Can someone let me know if the 40A fuse is ok?

Thanks in advance!

The fuse is only to protect the wiring, so a 40A fuse is adequate for 6AWG wire.
The charge controller does not detect what fuse is installed, so it will work as normal.
