Running them vertically would be better.
You can lay them out as shown. A single arc as in the bottom would be better, the double arc as shown for the top is going to be more difficult.
Be careful of tight cable bend radius, and make sure you are using sufficiently large/rated cables for the interconnects. You don't want any tension on the lug, which seems very likely with this wiring configuration.
Would be great if Victron would put out pole connectors to allow these configurations.
