I will be using 2x Orion TR smart 12-12-30 to charge Li batteries in a Sprinter van. I am considering adding an additional alternator. The manufacturer of the alternator states that to charge Li batteries it is necessary to add an additional regulator (Balmer ext regulator). As I will be charging B2B will this be needed? Will the external regulator interfere with the engine start detection system of the Orion?
