Section 2.8. of the Cerbo GX manual talks about Connecting Tank Level Sensors. "To physically attach the tank probes requires a ferrule or exposed copper end of at least 10 mm+ to be inserted into the removable terminal block connector."
I want to add a ferrule to the wire that connects to my tank level sensor that can then be input into the terminal block connector.
What gauge of wire or ferrule size is recommended for the terminal block connector?

I could not locate ferrules long enough to be grabbed by those connectors. I had to resort to tinning a longish length of wire.
I found some 1.0mm² and 1.5mm² extra long bootlace ferrule crimps that were 18mm long on UK ebay, I think I used the 1.0mm² ones in the end as the wires were 0.75mm². This length fits the terminal blocks on the Cerbo GX as I used it for the temperature and digital inputs on that as well as on the GX Tank 140 as shown.

Careful in connecting the ferrules into the connector, highly recommend you depress the tensioning spring with a small screwdriver before you insert the ferrule, then release. The internal connector spring can be easily damaged by forcing the ferrule in and Victron does not stock connector spares. I have an order from Element14 16weeks and counting..

I have not tested yet, but I think the Phoenix DFMC series of connectors are compatible.
