SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 without using load output?

I designing an electrical system for my campervan.

The idea is to hook up the following, ofcourse with switches and fuses:

  • Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 (solar panels)
  • Victron Orion-Tr 12/12-30A (car alternator)
  • Lithium batteries + BMS
  • Inverter 3500W for 230v

The MPPT solar controller has a load output connection. Is it possible to not use this?

The BMS already has LVD (low voltage disconnect) so I don't think I need that feature from the solar controller.

Obviously the inverter will draw more than 20A but I think even my "normal" 12V load could also be more than 20A.

Would it possible to connect the solar controller and dc/dc charger directly to the BMS and also connect my loads (inverter and 12v load) directly to the BMS?

Thanks!

You don’t have to use the load terminal.
