internal charger in easysolar does not seem to stop charging regardless of the charge cycle. Voltage at battery terminals goes over 30v even though the default settings are 28.8 and 27.30 for float. Using new batteries.

The voltage is temperature dependant, from memory 25C. If temp lower, it raises voltage.
Check it's going through the stages down to float/storage. Also check the battery type is correct in the mains inverter/charger and the solar charger.
