Using a MultiGrid in the UK

Hi. I have just (unsuccessfully) tried to add another multiplus 24/1600 to my system to have 2 of them to increase charge current to 70A. The unit I bought had the old microprocessor so it won't work with ESS and won't work my existing unit which has the new cpu.

I think its probably easier to just replace the multiplus with a 24/3000 unit which has a 70A charging function and sell both of the 24/1600 units for around £400 each (hopefully).

BUT I've noticed that the multiGRID 24/3000 is about £250 cheaper than the multiplus 24/3000. Its not designed for use in the UK which has lower reg requirements, but according to the datasheet it also supports the UK regs. So can I just buy one of these instead and use it in the UK grid connected and save some money?

As far as I know you can use any Multi in the UK, including MultiGrid / MultiPlus II
