What is the Victon Multiplus 12/1600VA Normal Fan Behaviour

I just want to figure out what the normal fan behaviour is for the Victron Multiplus 1600VA inverter charger.

The moment I connected the inverter to the battery while the inverter was switched off, the fan switched on and has continued to run.

Is the fan meant to run continuously? Does it ever switch off? The ambient temperature is about 25 degrees C and the inverter is cold to the touch so I don't think it's on due to high ambient temperature.

Did you ever resolve the issue with the fan?

My fan switches on sporadically however I caught it running in 0 degree Celsius with very little load whilst inverting. It does turn off again however after some time. Further, when charging it also switches on (Multiplus 12/1600/70-16).
