Why is my ESS using Grid power when battery is nearly full?

Sorry, this may be a duplicate but I can't find on that exactly matches my situation...

EasySolar II GX

304Ah LiFePO4 Batteries and Daly BMS

ESS Module installed

Charge limit set to 10A

As you see from below, I am only using 64W and battery is nearly full... why does it say there is 52 coming from the grid?

It seems since I connected to the grid it constantly pulls more energy from there than I am using... some obscure setting to optimise battery life maybe?

What is your ESS grid set point? By default it is around 50W so that is what it will always use.

You can set it lower.

That is how ESS works, all discussed in the various guides on the subject.

Also, with such low loads the measurements won't be overly accurate.

@Dominic Porter as a side note, I have my ESS set up to with a grid set point of -20w, that way I am always exporting to the grid, albeit just a small amount. That way I never import unless I really have to. I set it to -20w to deal with the low accuracy of the unit when trying to manage such very low loads and the AC load fluctuations
