I have my auto-start set up to turn the generator on when battery SOC is 40% and turn it off when it's 50%.
But what if at 45% SOC, the generator runs out of fuel?
Will the Cerbo GX still be sending the signal so that generator constantly tries to start over and over with no fuel?
For generators controlled by the relay, the GX device will close the relay when it wants the generator to start and run and open it when it wants the generator to stop. It will NOT cycle the relay if it does not detect the generator is not running and should be.
It is up to the generator or an external control system to manage restarts. Typically, the relay closure triggers a start option with a limited crank time after which no further action is taken.
