Quattro external temperature sensor when inverting?

Hello,

Does the Quattro need an external temperature sensor for inverting?

My Quattro came with an external temperature sensor but that is now on the Cerbo as I use the Quattro only to invert.

Do I need to get another external sensor for the Quattro?

That temp sensor is for the battery. If you have lead-acid batteries of any kind the charging algorithms need to factor in battery temperature. With a GX device (Cerbo, etc) and DVCC turned on, that temperature can come from a BMV/SmartShunt in which case the the one on the Quattro would not be necessary.
