Standard Li-ion voltage setting somewhat low? (BSC IP65 12/15, MPPT 75/15, Orion-tr smart

I have several Victron chargers in my LiFePO4 setup:

  • BSC IP65 12/15 for 230V charging
  • MPPT 75/15 with Bluetooth adapter for solar charging
  • Orion-TR smart 12/12-30 for charging via alternator.

I have a DIY LiFePO4 batter with 4x EVE 280aH cells. The BMS is a JK B2A8S20P. This BMS has lots of settings to finetune its behavior.

In the datasheet of my cells they note a charging voltage of 3.65V, so x4 that voltage should be 14.6V.

In the advanced settings of all charger, it looks like the default charging voltage (absorption) is set to 14.2 and the tickle charge is set to 13.5.

Is this indeed the best setting for my battery, or should increase the charging voltage to 14.4 or maybe even 14.6? And if so, should i change the tickle chare too?

@SuperKris myself I use 14.0v absorp, 13.4v float for my Winston cells.

Andy uses 13.8v absorp, and 13.4v for his cells/batteries.

check out andy's videos.

Victron's default LFP charge settings are correct for Victron LFP batteries; when using non-Victron LFP batteries, it is often necessary to change those charge voltages.
