Old VE.BUS multicontrol not compatible with multiplus 12/2000/80 ?

I recently buy an old (second hand) VE.BUS MULTICONTROL PANEL thinking that is compatible with my multiplus compact 12/2000/80 but when I connect the rj45 cable (official Victron) all the leds start flashing one after the other. All the functions didn’t work and when I disconnect cable the multiplus restart to work normally like without distant control panel… (PIN are well setup). So my question is there is a way to solve this issue or just there is no compatibility between this two device and I have to buy the DIGITAL MULTICONTROL PANEL if I want to work perfectly ?

I think you will need to post the model number here to verify how old the inverter actually is. This will tell us if the device can be upgraded to work or not. It can also give us an idea if it should work or if there may be another issue.
