Connecting an old 18xxx multiplus to a cerbo GX

Hi all,

I have two old multiplus 24/3000/70 working in paralel. I also have a cerbo, which is connected to many more victron stuff.

I am now trying to get the multiplus also setup in the system. I was reading the manual and saw that my firmware (18xxx) is not compatable with the VEbus system.

1. I was wondering if I could have my mk2 usb coneector sit inbetween the cerbo and the multiplus. And will they than communicate? I was hoping of getting the information out of the multi. I don't need to control the multi.

2. And how would it effect my remote control panel? Can I just get a RJ45 two to one connector and connect both the cerbo and the control panel to one port?

Hope someone can give me advise and their experience. Thanks!

The old 18xxyyy units are not VE.Bus, they are VE.9bit.
A MK2 will not convert the VE.9bit to VE.Bus.
There is no way for the old 18xxyyy VE.9bit devices to communicate with the CerboGX.
