Replaced GX device in VRM not working

Hi all,

I just replaced my Multiplus II 3000 GX with a 5000 GX.

As I want to keep my old data in the VRM portal I followed the instructions to replace a GX device:

1. Add the new installation to the VRM portal (it is working)
2. Go to the old installation, select the new installation and press "Replace"
3. Enter the name of the old installation and confirm

All that worked, however I still have 2 installations in my account (old & new) and the old installation is offline and not working. It shows only old data before the replacement.

The settings of the VRM portal for the old installation shows the new portal ID with "-USEDASREPLACEMENT" appended.

What to do now? I would really like to keep my old data.

Hi,

I was able to fix that myself:

1. I connected the old Multiplus GX again.
2. Added the old GX to the VRM portal
3. Re-replaced the old GX into the old installation. That worked and I could see the old device again.
4. Replaced the new GX device into the old installation.

This time it worked - now the new GX is associated with my old installation.
