Bluetooth Smart Dongle programming

Victron Connect software is described on the iOS App Store as being able to adjust Multipluss settings with the Smart Dongle. At this point, these capabilities are very limited. Are programming capabilities coming any time soon? I’m concerned that my purchase of the Bluetooth Dongle was a dead end and I’ll have to go the PC/USB adapter route (last century!)

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

From what I understand, upcoming versions of Victron Connect will incorporate the ability to configure VE.Bus devices. I don't think there will be too long to wait.
