Multiplus 24/3000/70, supposed to switch over to AC mains power, but turns off instead, then cycles

I want to say I've done due diligence and all the wiring is flawless, and that I haven't overlooked something simple or obvious... but I'm not going to take that for granted.

I have a simple system with a multi-plus connected to: the mains/shore (via CB), a 24V (3.3kWh) battery and a heater (as the load) also on a CB. I also have a GX connected.

The behavior I am seeing is this...

  • Battery (full) connected, MP in "Inverting" mode (relevant LED on) powering the load.
  • AC Mains is present, several seconds pass, MP waiting for AC to become stable.
  • MP switches to "Charging" mode (Mains ON and Bulk LED on).
  • Insert a wait period ranging from a second through to several minutes
  • Then MP randomly turns OFF, all LEDs off
  • This (above) sequence keeps repeating

I have a MK3-USB dongle and I have checked the settings so many times

What battery do you have exactly?

I am going to test the same battery on another inverter
I am going to try an test the inverter with another battery
I am going to test another inverter on the same mains source
