we use the shunt directly on busbar, and then the build quality is an problem.

Uh :-/ - just ordered a 2000A one, hopefully it doesn't look half as bad as the one on the photo.

That is the bottom side, where the (now removed) baseplate is attached.

That surface is not used for electrical contact, so it's only a cosmetic issue.

You should not attach the busbar on that side. The monting holes for the busbar or wire lugs are not there.

Oh dear, looks like Victron have moved production to that place that doesnt have any QC
