BMV-712 Monitor with Temperature Sensor with TWO 12V batteries??

I have the Victron BMV-712 Battery Monitor with Battery Temperature Sensor hooked up to my single BB lithium 12V 100Ah battery, but now I am adding another BB Lithium 12V 100Ah in parallel. My question is this: can I leave the temp sensor connected to the first battery, and then just program the BMV-712 to 200Ah, or should I discard the temp sensor and attach the B1 and B2 wires to each separate battery?
Which way makes the most sense?

If that battery is going to be wired in parallel and just be an extension of the first one then keep the temperature sensor and adjust the BMV to 200Ah.
