Newbie question: Is "Intelligent Battery Life" the default?

Just got a 75/15 MPPT charge controller after reading about how the controller will turn off the load so the battery will fully recharge. Is this the default behavior? Can I just hook up the wires and go? I don't have anything to configure it with. Thanks!

Hi @cburns, welcome to the Community!

I'm assuming that you have a BlueSolar MPPT 75/15, since you mention not having anything to configure it with (the SmartSolar, of course, you only need a smart phone). In that case, please see page 5 of the user manual, which details how to configure the load output's behavior by placing the small black jumper in the VE.Direct port in different positions, or by removing it altogether.

Thank you very much. It appears if I remove the jumper altogether I will get the Battery Life Algorithm.
