Confused about installation/wiring for BMV-702

Hi,

I am confused about the setup instructions for the negative wiring. My plan was to wire my system like below.

However, my interpretation of some of the guides/diagrams I am seeing online seem to suggest that this setup is incorrect. If I am understanding it correctly, it suggests that the chassis grounding cable (seen in my diagram) should be relocated to the end of the shunt instead. Is that correct? Would I just place my bus bar terminal ring on top of this grounding ring at the end of the shunt?

To the battery (-) is only one wire connected and that goes straight to the shunt "battery only".

So your 2nd drawing is the correct one.
