We installed a mobile setup very similar to an RV setup except customer has both 120 and 208/240 (will work on either) loads. We have tried all of the L2 options. There is an external selector for shore/genset and the MP units are fine with the genset but does not recognize and switch over when 208 is applied. Genset is a 12K Onan QD and the shore is 120/208V 50A. Anyone with success on this type of setup?
When having the units wired on a splitphase120/240Vac system there is as far as settings nothing special to do except to choose Dual phase 180, L2 fixed, it should be accepting this without an issue.
Is the shore 120Deg?, then also L2 floating can be tested.
As far as generator usage the settings need to be set for that as normally is needed (Hints: UPS—> OFF, Wide freq input range —> ON, Dynamic current limiter —> ON, ACinput limit at 70% of the maximal current)
We can't get the unit to accept both power inputs using the same configuration. The L2 float works on the 208, the L2 Fixed works on the 240V. There is a third setting, L2 float with return that doesn't help. We are at the end, thinking the next step is to add an input transformer for the 208 to change it to 120/240. Would Victron be willing to do custom firmware to help avoid the transformer?
